The DVFD Mission
The objective of the Danville Volunteer Fire Department is to provide fire protection, to aid in civil defense emergencies, to aid all concerned in times of distress and emergencies, when and where the services are requested, without recognized boundaries or time, to help eliminate fire hazards, to foster public education of fire prevention and public safety.

Welcome to the Danville Volunteer Fire Department's website and recently deployed forums. We hope to improve our online presence by populating the forums with a multitude of training articles focusing on material suitable for self-study. The articles contained on the website and the forums are not meant to certify any individual in any fire related field of study. These articles are meant as a either a refresher for seasoned fire service veterans or a basic guide and introduction to new recruits.
